black friday ugg boots Lord Taylor opens in Boca Raton
Lord Taylor is back in Boca Raton and better than ever. The two level, 80,000 square foot store opened in Mizner Park Oct. 10 to a couture craving crowd of fashionistas, dignitaries and society women. “I got a look at Lord Taylor’s amazing merchandise,” said Boca Raton Mayor Susan Whelchel. “Thank you Lord Taylor for choosing Boca Raton. We absolutely welcome you with open arms.” Palm Beach County Mayor Steve Abrams was also on deck to mention the positive effect the store will have on the local job market. “This provides 140 new jobs to the area,” Abrams said.
Media was given a private tour of the store that day, which offered personal details from the store’s General Manager Mindy Horvitz and Richard M. Weiner, Senior Vice President of Stores.
Although Lord Taylor closed its Town Center at Boca Raton location in 2002, the new Lord Taylor offers an impressive selection of women’s ready to wear, accessories, beauty, shoes, and menswear including brands such as Michael Kors, Theory, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Coach, Donna Karan,
C California, Free People, Catherine Malandrino, Grayse, Ted Baker and Ralph Lauren. There’s an incredible beauty department offering every brand from Kiehl’s to Chanel along with a private treatment room for spa services. And the shoe department has some very well curated designer finds such as Missoni, Ugg and Badgley Mischka footwear.
“There’s a wow factor when you walk in,” Horvitz said of Lord Taylor’s newest location. “We have over 300 mannequins in the building and there’s a strong brand impression here with a boutique shopping experience.”
While Lord Taylor is known for its dresses and always will be, there’s a wonderful Florida feel to the collections selected for this location of Lord Taylor, a division of the Hudson’s Bay Company. “We have contemporary and classic offerings in fashion,” Weiner added. “We know how fashionable everyone is in the Boca Raton area. We offer some dresses in lighter fabrics that will work better in Florida’s climate as well as a year round swimwear department.”
The store also carries Lord Taylor’s coveted private brand, 424 Fifth, which is a new style capsule and homage to the New York address of Lord Taylor’s flagship store in Manhattan. “We’re definitely a store where generations of customers can come in and find what they’re looking for,” Horvitz said.
In addition to crisp, white d and gorgeous Italian chandeliers adorning the ceiling of the second floor, there is also a sleek, uptown feel to the men’s department, which features its own lounge. When you transition from the women’s department to the menswear section, you will notice the darker wood table and wall fixtures as well as masculine gray floor. “The male customer can shop here and feel he’s not in a women’s store,
” Weiner said.
